Sudha Raja

DAG Sudha Raja currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) in the Division of Law, Department of Law and Public Safety, State of NJ (DOL). Ms. Raja assists with managing the administrative, operational, budgetary, and personnel activities in the DOL. Prior to her current position, as Assistant Section Chief of the Transportation, Construction and Condemnation (TCC) Section at DOL, Ms. Raja handled complex construction litigation and agency advice representing various State agencies. In 2016, Ms. Raja received the Attorney General’s award for excellence in litigation.

Ms. Raja graduated from Temple School of Law in 2001 and joined the DOL in 2001 as a DAG. Ms. Raja has served for 4 years as a member of the Supreme Court of New Jersey, District Ethics Committee, District VII, served as the Chair of the Asian Employee Resource Group and actively mentored new attorneys at DOL. Ms. Raja first became a member of the APALA-NJ in 2011 and has been an active member since 2017. Believing in the goals of the APALA-NJ, served as Director for a couple of years and as Treasurer in the past and current year.
