Basma Qazi

Basma Qazi is an associate at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP. She earned a dual Juris Doctor and Master of Social Work from Rutgers Law School and the Rutgers School of Social Work in 2024. 

Prior to joining the firm, Basma clerked for Judge Jaclyn Medina, J.S.C. in the NJ Superior Court, Bergen Vicinage, Family Division. She also gained significant appellate, trial, and regulatory experience during law school through her work with a small law firm and a national trade association. 

Basma maintains an active presence in the legal community, having served in leadership roles on the executive boards of the Student Bar Association, the Muslim Law Students Association, the South Asian Law Students Association, and the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey. She is also a Licensed Social Worker, and her clinical training informs her strategic, client-focused approach to advocacy.
