Dong Joo Lee

Dong Joo Lee is an Assistant General Counsel at Valley National Bank, where he focuses on investigations and fraud risk management.  Previously, Dong was a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of New Jersey, where he investigated cybercrimes, financial crimes, and gangs/organized crimes.  He was also detailed to the Department of Justice’s National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team and as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C. to prosecute public corruption.  He was also associated with DLA Piper in its White Collar and Government Investigations practice group.  Earlier in his career, Dong had three federal clerkships with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.  He is a U.S. Navy veteran and a volunteer firefighter, and is active in several community and veterans’ organizations.
