Gabrielle Canaie

Director

Gabrielle J. Canaie is a Senior Associate at the Weiner Law Group and focuses her practice on the areas of Labor and Employment, Litigation and Public Sector matters.


Gabrielle’s primary focus has been providing counsel to public and private clients in the areas of local government law, planning and zoning and other regulatory compliance matters. Further, as a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment group, Gabrielle represents and counsels both state and local government entities regarding workplace investigations, union negotiations, and conducting employee training programs.


Gabrielle received her J.D. from New York Law School and was honored with a Public Service Certificate, which recognizes students who have committed substantial time to working in the public interest during law school.


During her time at New York Law School, Gabrielle served as a Courtroom Advocate for the Domestic Violence Project, interned at the Passaic County Regional Office of New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, competed in the American Bar Associated Regional Negotiation and Mediation Competitions and on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, and acted as a Student Mentor.


Gabrielle is a graduate of Rowan University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was a member of the National Political Science Honor Society and Alpha Epsilon Phi.


Gabrielle also serves as an at-large voting member on the Executive Board of the New Jersey State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Gabrielle is also a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey, and the Essex County Bar Association. As an APALA-NJ Director, Gabrielle hopes to strengthen APALA-NJ’s connection with other associations and inspire new members to join. She truly enjoys rolling up her sleeves and giving back to the community and support to other committees and members. Gabrielle looks forward to contributing to the legacy of APALA-NJ and positively impacting the careers of all attorneys statewide.
