Patrick Timney

Patrick Timney is an Associate in the Insurance & Reinsurance Group at Coughlin Midlige & Garland LLP. His work focuses on insurance matters, advising clients on coverage in both litigated and non-litigated matters. Patrick earned his J.D. at Rutgers Law School, where he served as Co-President of APALSA during 2024-2025 school year.

Before law school, Patrick worked in the claims department at a national commercial insurance carrier. During law school, he interned for the Morris County judiciary and for an insurance defense firm. After graduating, Patrick was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Martin F. Barbato, J.S.C. (ret.) T/A on Recall and the Honorable Patricia J. O’Dowd, J.S.C. Patrick had the unique experience of working in Family Part for the first half of his clerkship, and then in the Civil Part – Law Division for the second half. Patrick looks forward to mentoring the next generation of AAPI lawyers around the Morris County area where he works.
