Director
Rio Guerrero is the founding member of the Guerrero Law Firm. With over two decades of success, the Guerrero Law Firm – a full-service U.S. immigration law firm – serves corporate and individual clients throughout the United States, with offices in Bergen County, New Jersey, and Manhattan. Licensed as an attorney in both New Jersey and New York for over 25 years, Rio is a nationally awarded and recognized expert in corporate immigration and family immigration.
Throughout his career, Rio has served the Asian Pacific American (APA) legal community in the New Jersey / New York area, and nationwide. Locally, he formed and chaired the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) Immigration and Nationality Law Committee for five years. Nationally, he held the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Immigration Law Committee Chair for four years. In particular, he is a proud founding member of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA), and the first president of the Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York (FALANY). In addition, he has held various leadership positions within the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) both nationally and locally.
Since 2020, Rio has received Best Lawyers and SuperLawyers accolades as a national leader among the U.S. immigration law bar. He is also a NAPABA “Best Under 40” awardee. The Guerrero Law Firm has received similar recognition, with Best Law Firm accolades since 2021.
While the many accolades Rio and his law firm receive annually are sincerely appreciated, it is the thousands of corporate, family and individual clients they have successfully served for over two decades that bring the greatest professional satisfaction to the law firm and Rio personally.
When Rio is not busy advocating for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their two teenage children at their home in Bergen County. His passions include golf, the Yankees, a fine steak and travel. But, in particular, Rio loves coaching his daughter’s softball team and watching his son perform guitar and percussion on both the stage and field.
